Job Description:
What will do:
- Collaborate with Quality and other teams within Operations to develop and implement controls and improvements.
- Use strong interpersonal skills to communicate with various software development teams, IT, Quality, and other business areas across the company as appropriate
- Create or use reports with graphs/charts for monitoring and analyzing software quality trends/metrics
- Review standards to determine the requirements applicable to software development activities
- Assess process gaps or issues that may impede the quality of software and make applicable
- Work with the development teams to ensure compliance with the Silicon Labs Software Quality Policy and required standards
- Continuously increase software process knowledge across various teams to be able to effectively recommend best practices across teams
- Create, update, and/or improve procedures and policies applicable to software
- Assist with software quality audits for various targeted standards
- Apply problem solving and root cause techniques for Corrective Action Preventive Action resolution of software process issues across software products
What skills you will need:
- Bachelor's /Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Information Systems
- ASQ Certifications such as Software Quality Engineer a plus
- Knowledge of SDLC methodologies and software industry best practices
- Understanding of risk-based approach to software development
- Understanding of SDLC documentation/evidence including development plans, design summaries, bug tracking test plans, test cases, and release documentation
- Must have solid organizational skills, be confident, open communicator with persons across all aspects of the company including across various global locations
- Strong Project Management skills a plus
- Intermediate to a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
